Political Figures
 
  1. Martyr President Mohammad Ali Rajai - A prominent Iranian politician and the second President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who studied at Kharazmi University (formerly known as the Teacher Training University) from 1956 to 1959. He was martyred in 1981 in an explosion at the Prime Minister's office.
  2. Martyr Dr. Malek Rahmati - A Kharazmi University alumnus who became a significant figure in Iran's academic community through his dedication to scientific and research activities. He served as the governor of East Azerbaijan Province in the thirteenth government and was martyred in a helicopter crash in 2024 alongside President Ebrahim Raisi.
  3. Mahmoud Behzad - A founding figure in modern education in Iran and former Minister of Culture, known as the "Father of Modern Biology in Iran."
  4. Gholam Hossein Shokoohi - Known as the "Father of Education in Iran," he was a veteran educator and the first Minister of Education in the Islamic Republic. With a PhD in Educational Sciences, he was recognized as a prominent figure in Iranian education due to his 60 years of service in teaching and research.
Sports Figures
Kharazmi University (formerly the Teacher Training University) is a key center for sports in Iran, producing numerous athletes who have excelled at national and international levels. With a long-standing Faculty of Physical Education, the university's athletes have won multiple medals in various competitions. Kharazmi University also provides free education for Olympic medalists, allowing these athletes to study in various fields without entrance exams or tuition fees.
  1. Hamid Sajjadi - A distinguished Iranian track and field athlete and gold medalist in the Asian Championships. He studied at the Teacher Training University and represented Iran at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. He also served as the Minister of Sports and Youth in the thirteenth government.
  2. Mirshad Majedi - A former player and head coach of the Iranian national football team and the Esteghlal club, who graduated with a degree in Physical Education. He was also the former president of the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
  3. Darab Riyahi - A pioneer in Iranian weightlifting who was a member of the national team and studied at the Teacher Training University in 1989.
  4. Ali Akbarnejad - An Iranian freestyle wrestler who won multiple medals in Asian and Olympic competitions, studying at Kharazmi University in 1988.
  5. Mehdi Saberpour - A volleyball player and coach who played for Iran's national volleyball team and completed his education at the Teacher Training University.
